More About the Artists:

The Sally Rose Band
https://thesallyroseband.com

Sally Rose has been described as Charlottesville's “glitter rock” pinup, crooning about ghosts, witches, heart ache and the feminist agenda. Catherine Monnes sews in her spellbinding melodies with rough water cello and electric violin. Sweet Pete Stallings adds Pixies-esque undertones on electric guitar, co-writing a handful of the songs. Benjamin Jensen and David Jacobs tighten the mix with a driving rhythm section. Together, mother and daughter sing haunting, blood harmonies that intertwine seamlessly. Sally Rose’s music twirls, it shines, it tip-toes & seduces, you’ll fall in love & get drunk off of it. It’ll melt your heart and break you down.

So Badly is a 4-piece band from Fredericksburg, Va playing a variation of indie rock. Self-described as "dusty basement indie fuzz," So Badly has broken the mold with their latest release of their much-anticipated EP, "Toward Heaven Still." Formed in the last two years, So Badly has toured up and down the east coast delivering their indie fuzz and sultry sound to all those lucky enough to catch it. Don't be the one to miss it!

Sweet Afton w/ Marie Borgman and Marina Madden
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ur4YZvfZyHU

Sweet Afton can be seen around the Charlottesville area playing a combination of Folk, Irish, and Americana. The duo (and sometimes trio) blends fiddle, guitar, voice, and percussive dance to create a melting pot of traditional music with pop accents, rock compliments, and powerful original songs. Marie Borgman of Charlottesville band, Chamomile and Whiskey, charges up the songs with driving fiddle harmonies while Marina Madden uses her energetic dance moves for a percussive flare.

Susan Grochmal
https://zoo-son.bandcamp.com/releases

Self described as "local ethereal bedroom dreaminess," Susan Grochmal does it all. An accomplished songwriter and performer under her own name and as shown in her album "My Room," she has also recently released a new album, "DUALITY," under her alter-ego AUTODIVA.
"Right now, she has long, mermaid-straggly pink hair and is wearing a sheer floral top with a double-grommet leather belt that makes her resemble a more ethereal version of early-2000s Avril Lavigne. But the lyrics that do override the glitchy beat reveal a voice that, somewhat unexpectedly, sounds as delicate and exposed as that of The Cranberries’ Dolores O’Riordan." - Aline Dolinh of CavDaily and WXTJ

DJ Lindsey Shavers
https://lns4pr.wixsite.com/music/single-post/goDJ

Lindsey Shavers could easily be described as a renaissance woman – a student, a businesswoman, a leader, and a musician, this is one DJ for the books. DJ Lindsey has performed at multiple events put on by the McIntire Department of Music, the Music Matters Series, and Telemetry such as Sound Celebration at The Bridge Progressive Arts Initiative.
"I took one last glance at the attentive audience. All eyes were on me. My heart beating so fast, it was finally my time to share my craft with everyone. As my hands glided across my controller, I knew I was ready. Then - one, two, three, boom. A Tribe Called Quest invaded the room.
'Can I kick it? (Yes you can!)'" - DJ Lindsey Shavers
